According to Fact.MR, the global recycled PET market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 8% by the end of 2031 to total $4.2 billion. Recently, global food and beverage giants such as Coca-Cola and PepsiCo have accelerated the application of rPET and continued to expand the global market layout of their 100% rPET bottles.
Coca-Cola: 100% rPET bottles have been launched in Southeast Asia, South Asia and the Middle East
To date, The Coca-Cola Company has supplied 100% rPET bottles in more than 25 markets around the world, which is one step closer to its "zero waste in the world" goal. Recently, Coca-Cola has successively launched 100% rPET bottles in Southeast Asia, South Asia and the Middle East.

On June 22, Coca-Cola Indonesia announced the launch of a new 100% rPET beverage bottle (excluding caps and labels) across Indonesia. The company's 390ml Coca-Cola, Fanta and Sprite, as well as the 425ml Sprite Waterlymon, all feature 100% rPET bottles. Coca-Cola's Indonesian rPET material provider is said to be the Amandina Bumi Nusantara plant, which is a joint venture between Coca-Cola's Eurasian partners and Dayner Packaging Asia.
India

Coca-Cola India has launched Kinley water in 100% rPET bottle packaging. It is understood that Coca-Cola became the first packaged drinking water enterprise in India to use 100% rPET bottles.
The bottle comes with a special label that states "100% made from recycled food-grade plastic". rPET recycled pellets are produced by Srichakra Polyplast, which is EFSA (European Food Safety Authority) and FSSAI (Indian Food Safety and Standards Agency) certified. As for the rPET preforms, it is provided by ALPLA, a manufacturer of plastic packaging products.
Bangladesh

Last December, Coca-Cola also launched 100% rPET bottles in Bangladesh, becoming the first company in Southwest Asia (SWA) to launch 100% rPET two-liter Kinley water bottles.
Vietnam

Earlier, Coca-Cola announced the launch of 100% rPET bottles in Vietnam, and the new rPET bottles will be used in Coca-Cola plain and zero-sugar drinks, including 300ml bottles. The brand new rPET bottles are said to have been reviewed to meet Vietnamese regulations and Coca-Cola's global standards. Coca-Cola claims that this initiative will help Vietnam reduce the use of virgin plastic by 2,000 tons per year.

Coca-Cola also used 100% rPET beverage bottles for the first time in the Middle East to help the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, which was also the first time 100% rPET packaging was used during the World Cup.
Suntory PepsiCo: The first company in Thailand to use full rPET beverage bottles
In May this year, Suntory Pepsi Beverages (Thailand) Co., Ltd.'s Pepsi Beverages partnered with Chulalongkorn University (PMCU) and ENVICCO Limited to launch the "Pepsi ® Recycling PET Bottle Campaign" and announced that PepsiCo will be "the first company in the Thai soft drink market to use 100% rPET bottles as beverage packaging".

It is understood that the package will first be applied to 550 ml of Pepsi. Other products will follow this step, such as ready-to-drink TEA+ oolong tea. In addition to Thailand in Southeast Asia, PepsiCo has already launched rPET bottles in South Africa and Bangladesh, and will launch rPET bottles in Egypt, Qatar and Pakistan by the end of this year. It is reported that PepsiCo continues to promote the policy, aiming to launch recycled plastic bottles in 10 countries in AMESA (Africa, the Middle East and South Asia) by 2023. According to 2021 figures, PepsiCo helped collect and recycle 107,000 tons of plastic bottles and 19,000 tons of multi-layer plastic film in 7 countries in AMESA.
